Our Castle Wedding
Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 11:35PM Hello everyone! I am proud to announce that my wonderful Bradfordik and I sealed the deal in Dracula's castle! We did it at Orava Castle on an overcast May afternoon. If you are a photographer, you know that the photography fairies were with us.
Our wedding was recently featured on the #1 US wedding blog to kick off their new destination wedding blog. Way to go Dracula!

Orava castle is a 13th century castle built on a rock formation (a cliff) that overlooks Orava River. It is our favorite castle, and a natural choice for the ceremony. The above photo is taken on one of its plazas, that you can get to after a good fifteen minute climb up an extremely steep hill.

Brad was wearing a colorful paisley hat with a matching tie from Nordstrom, a two piece suit from John Varvatos, and some badass shoes by Magnanni. He also sported a pair of vintage cuff rings. I wore a dress by Jin Wang from SF Union Square, a head pouf (which I envisioned and asked Jin to create), and Charles David shoes. I made a dress for Fluffy using the same fabric and style my dress was made with. I wore a gold sequined Herve Leger dress at the reception.

Absolutely breathtaking - you look so beautiful and Brad so stylish.

What a lovely story! A gorgeous wedding and incredible dress and suit (groom!) -- love the hat! May you have a life filled with joy, happiness in each other's love, and a home brimming over with love and family!
Very nice story. This ceremony seems to be a wonderful ceremony. I love to watch the photos and reading the story. Dressing of both is fabulous and their expressions are showing that how much they love each other.
I love the Castle Wedding Theme as well as the Castle wedding photography shoot of the wedding. It must have cost a lot but it is worth it.
Stefano, promoting your own photography business by hyperlinking the text "wedding photography" to your own site is not a good idea. You might want to know that search engines do not follow links from blog comments, since they all have nofollow HTML attribute. Your efforts are therefore not productive. I removed the hyperlink.
Petra,
wonderful pics!
BTW you don't become fat eating good belgian beer and pure chocolates.
One becomes fat if one doesn't move enough, and you sure do ;-)
Keep up the good work!

Koen, if chocolate was making people fat, I'd be the largest person on Earth by now. :)
